THIS IS YOUR LAND

To coincide with the release of a new PBS documentary ‘National Parks: Americas Best Idea’ from Ken Burns, the National Parks Foundation saw an opportunity to further promote ownership and responsibility amongst it’s American viewers. 

Under the title “This is your land” a microsite and supporting campaign was developed. It encouraged participants to navigate the 400+ parks, where each person could then tag special memories to the places they’ve experienced. Facebook connect shared the messages across the social-sphere accompanied by user generated imagery pulled from Flickr. And these heart-felt memories led the charge making it possible for people to take action by donating, which goes towards maintaining the parks for generations to come.
